Mission
This is a
consultancy-based position
, requiring on-site presence at the client's premises 2-3 days per week (Aztec West, Bristol).
We are currently seeking a
Cable Routing Engineer
to join our expanding UK team and support our client on the Hinkley Point and Sizewell C nuclear projects.
What You'll Be Doing:
You will be responsible for producing routing deliverables and conducting studies within designated buildings of the Nuclear Island, using optimized in-house routing software to achieve the following objectives:
Provide routing reports to ensure data integrity and compliance with project requirements.
Collaborate with the layout team to generate routing reports that assess tray fill rates and address any queries hindering routing production.
Conduct feasibility studies for design changes or unresolved issues impacting routing activities. Perform risk assessments and establish mitigation plans for critical modifications.
Offer user feedback on the routing software and participate in beta testing.
Communicate updates and study progress during routing weekly follow-up meetings, as well as with the layout team and management board.
Deliver training sessions and introductions on the cable routing software, including discipline-specific rules and regulations.
Contribute to experience-sharing initiatives (e.g., lessons learned from other projects) to evaluate potential integration into the HPC project.
Profile
We would love to hear from you if you have the following qualifications and experience:
Electrical Engineering graduate with 2 years of experience (junior position)
Knowledge of the RCC-E electrical technical regulations and the technical reference system (NFC15-100 / NF C 13-200 / BS7671 / IEC 60909)
Knowledge of the nuclear field via educational curriculum or professional experience
Knowledge of the quality processes involved in industrial projects in the nuclear field
Use of CAD tools PDMS/E3D, Navisworks, AutoCAD
A background in the nuclear industry
