Job Description

JMC are working with a highly respected and market leading Maintenance Repair and Engineering business based in Stansted who are looking to recruit a CAD/ CAM Manager to manage their successful and growing CAD department.

This role is very well suited to a supervisor or team leader looking to take the next step in their career.

This is a Permanent Position based In Stansted. 40 hours per week, Monday- Friday.

The Role

The primary purpose of this role is to manage the smooth running of the department and allocate resources in order to meet requirements to produce 3 and 5 axis programs for 2D and 3D models in a timely manner.

Other duties involve:
Staff Development
Allocate resources and staff requirements
Monitor and manage staff performance
Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize efficiency
Plan work flow
Produce 3 and 5 axis CNC programs with supporting documentation from both 2D drawings and 3D models
Produce 3D model data from 2D drawings where model data is required but not available from the customer
Plan and program machining methods for components
Communicate with shop floor staff, management and customers to resolve engineering problems
Assist with questions from shop floor staff and support ongoing live work
Adhere to health and safety requirements
Comply with quality and regulatory standards

Skills and experience required:

Previous experience at a supervisor/team leader level
Proven experience of Hypermill and Vericut
Ability to read engineering drawings
Good communication skills
Ability to problem solve
