Our current portfolio includes a diverse range of projects, including novel suspension systems for military applications, innovative aircraft seating systems, a \'last mile\' 18 tonne electric delivery truck and the design and delivery of a new hydraulic control system for a hypercar.

We are now looking for a Machine Shop Manager to lead and develop the existing team. You must have solid operational experience, preferably within Automotive or similar and be a strong team player. We need someone who shares our drive to succeed and who has the ambition and bags of enthusiasm to help Prodrive AT Operations to continue to grow our manufacturing capability.

Key responsibilities

  • To drive cost competitive manufacturing through continuous improvement
  • Manufacturing efficiency optimisation through metric-based leadership and adherence to standard processes
  • Track and actively steer the team towards performing against key KPI\'s
  • Maximise machine and labour utilisation.
  • Ensure that the quality system is in place and adhered to, in order to deliver the highest standards.
  • Achieve budgets and support forecast changes.
  • Grow and mentor the production team to be high performing and self-sufficient in making data-based decisions.
  • Lead the ATM on creating budget prices/quotes for new jobs, and KPI\'s
  • Reading and producing engineering drawings
You
  • Degree or similar in Manufacturing/Engineering or relevant discipline
  • Operational experience is essential, preferably within Automotive or similar.
  • CAD/CAM, Open Mind Hypermill and CNC machining including batch work and prototypes is also desired but not essential.
  • Experience in production management of manufacturing eqipment
  • Experience in new facility set-up, re-layout activities
  • Sound knowledge of OHSS & Quality systems (i.e., ISO 9001, APQP, 5S)
