Job Description

We are recruiting for a

CAD Control & Instrumentation Designer

to join our Hydrogen Engineering team in Glasgow.

This role offers the chance to contribute to the design and construction of hydrogen production, storage, and delivery systems--an exciting and rapidly expanding sector across the UK and Europe.

Essential Experience, Qualifications and Competencies



BTech or BEng in Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent Demonstrable experience in a similar CAD role Strong background in oil & gas or EPC projects Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical, E-Tap, E-Plan, SolidWorks or Inventor desirable Understanding of international standards for electrical and C&I design Ability to produce wiring diagrams, cable schedules, I/O lists, and interface drawings Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with incomplete information

Desirable Experience, Qualifications and Competencies



CAD qualifications or certification Experience in multi-disciplinary engineering projects Familiarity with hydrogen systems and renewable energy applications Experience of carrying out site visits and surveys would be useful, but is not essential.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



Translate C&I engineering requirements into technical designs Produce design packs to industry standards Participate in design reviews and support P&ID development Collaborate with engineers and site teams Compile project documentation and support delivery Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
