Grange Industries is a multi-disciplined engineering company, who specialises in the Downstream gas / petrochemical sector. Due to successful growth and strong long-term demand we have an opportunity for an Electrical & Instrumentation designer to join our team in Caerphilly.

The successful candidate will provide a technical lead in the electrical/ICA scoping and design of electrical and instrumentation systems. This will involve working in multidisciplinary teams of civil, mechanical, process and electrical/ICA engineers.

Electrical & Instrumentation Designer Job Duties:

Detailed design of the electrical and instrumentation drawings in accordance with user requirements specification - including site layout and cable routes, electrical single line diagrams, cable block diagrams, instrumentation P & ID, instrumentation loop diagrams, instrument hook up drawings and panel layout drawings and etc.

Proficient at AutoCAD and ProgCAD to complete / modify drawings

Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc.)

Understanding of Electrical and Instrumentation Systems in a hazardous Area (ATEX certified equipment)

Understanding of instrumentation Hook Up Drawings for flow, pressure and temperature instruments.

Understanding of intrinsic safety and flameproof protection

Understanding of instrumentation loop diagrams

Understanding of Electrical Distribution drawings (BS7671)

Understanding of Site Layout Drawings and cable routing

Understanding of laying out electrical and instrumentation equipment

Lighting designs using Relux software

Salary is Negotiable.
