Be part of this 'once in a generation' project that will deliver clean energy to 6 million homes for the next 60 years. Sizewell C will see the creation of a 3.2 Gigawatt nuclear power station on the Suffolk coast to provide reliable load low-carbon electricity.

The Civil Works Alliance is an extended delivery enterprise involving Sizewell C and three international construction companies: Balfour Beatty, Bouygues Travaux Publics and Laing O'Rourke.

What you'll be doing


The CAD Coordinator is responsible for the creation, coordination, and quality assurance of CAD drawings, with a particular focus on developing and projecting Traffic Management Plans (TMPs). This role supports project teams by ensuring that all traffic-related designs are accurate, compliant, and aligned with section timelines and safety standards.

Develop and maintain detailed CAD drawings for temporary and permanent traffic management schemes.
Interpret engineering and construction plans to produce accurate TMPs.
Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and local authorities to ensure traffic plans meet regulatory and safety requirements.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment on design specifications.
Maintain drawing registers and ensure version control of all CAD files.
Conduct site visits when necessary to assess traffic conditions and validate plans.
Support the submission of TMPs for permits and approvals.


Who we're looking for


Essential

Proven experience as a CAD Technician or Coordinator, ideally within traffic or civil engineering.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
Ability to create site drawings for traffic flow and TM plans
Ability to able to create 2d / 3d modelling for traffic flows.
Strong understanding of traffic management principles, road safety, and relevant regulations.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Experience working with local authority standards and permitting processes is a plus.


Desirable

Certification or training in Traffic Management or Road Safety.
Knowledge of Chapter 8 (UK) or equivalent traffic signage and layout standards.
Familiarity with GIS or 3D modelling tools is an advantage.
