Cad Design Draughter
Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced 2D Mechanical Design Draughtsperson to join a successful manufacturing organisation in Ashford, Kent, to work amongst a strong design team and deliver the best in quality and service.
The successful candidate will report directly into the design office manager. Your key areas of responsibility will include producing customer approval, manufacturing and installation drawings to various specifications, whilst meeting tight deadlines. You will be required to liaise with customers, our sales teams and our site surveyors for relevant details and implement/assist with improving existing systems.
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
Experience in Mechanical Engineering. Stress calculating capacity would be preferred but is not essential. Experience of working within a busy design team. Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D. Be a strong problem solver. Capable of working on own initiative as well as part of a team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Package:
The starting salary will be competitive and based on relevant experience within the specified range, with private medical insurance available after successful training.
The working hours will be 9am - 5:30pm with a 45 minute lunch, Monday to Friday. Naturally, we would like to expect that candidates will not clock watch and as and when required be flexible with working hours to meet deadlines.
OWN TRANSPORT IS ESSENTIAL DUE TO REMOTE RURAL SITE LOCATION WITH NO PUBLIC TRANSPORT LINKS.
