We are seeking a talented
CAD Design Engineer
with strong SolidWorks skills to join our creative and technically skilled Design & Development team. This a great opportunity to develop and play a key role in developing new products, improving existing designs, and supporting the transition from concept to production.
The Role:
Create detailed 3D CAD models and technical engineering drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and adherence to design intent.
Develop and refine innovative product concepts, integrating functionality, aesthetics, and cost-efficiency.
Manage the end-to-end design process, from initial design and prototyping through to testing, validation, and production handover.
Support production teams by providing detailed assembly drawings, manufacturing instructions, and CAD documentation.
Implement design modifications and improvements based on testing data and feedback from internal teams and suppliers.
Maintain organised records of all technical documentation, including reports, calculations, specifications, and parts lists.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth product introduction and continuous improvement.
The Person:
Proven experience in CAD design, with strong skills in SolidWorks.
Experience producing detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and passionate about design innovation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ideally qualified to HNC/HND or degree level in Design Engineering or a related discipline.
