Cartwright Vehicle Conversions Ltd, part of the prestigious Trek-Group, are looking to recruit a
CAD Engineer
to be based at their Belton site, near Doncaster.

The design and development engineer will spearhead the process of developing a product, from concept phase through to finish, by translating the client's vehicle specification into the converted vehicle.
We're seeking a creative yet practical individual who has a natural flair for design, and who will go into detailed engineering practices to deliver the best products.
Objectives of this role
Design the vehicle conversion from concept through to delivery into manufacture, using innovative engineering skills to ensure seamless integration.
Work closely with the Sales Team and Customer to meet their vision of the project.
Working with the Production Team to streamline the build processes by designing new and improve existing designs.
Assess designs in terms of their workability, feasibility and costs
Responsibilities
Designs and Technical Drawings in a 3D format as a CAD designer within Solidworks
Analyse the design proposals and the technical information to identify any potential issues arising during the Design development. Defining and implementing adequate solutions to reach a feasible proposal and meet customers specification.
Transform concepts into prototypes for testing, validating and improvement, ultimately for volume production.
Supervise the engineering and manufacturing processes of the design and ensure that it is as per the specifications
Maintain documentation and records of Design changes
Actively contribute to Design Reviews and Build Readiness Reviews.
Proven ability to self-manage and deliver on time
Reliable and flexible in their approach.
Required skills and qualifications
Qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacture Engineering or Product Design
Recent Graduates of Mechanical Engineering will be considered.
Experience in CAD modelling using Solidworks
Preferred skills and qualifications
Experience within automotive engineering
Prior experience as a design engineer
Project development skills
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

The working hours are between 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Thursday with 30 minutes lunch and 8:00am and 2:00pm on Friday.
Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, MicroStation, Civil 3D, NavisWorks, and Sketchup is essential.
Strong understanding of engineering principles related to design and construction.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate them into accurate drawings.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within a team environment.
Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
