The Opportunity


We are looking for a proactive and hands-on

CAD Development Engineer

to join our Engineering Team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious engineer with strong CAD and design skills, coupled with a practical mindset, to make a real impact in a growing and purpose-driven business.

Key Responsibilities



Develop 3D CAD models and generate/manage 2D technical drawings. Design and test mechanical components and subassemblies. Support cross-functional teams including Sales, Production, Quality, and Procurement. Deliver engineering projects from concept through to implementation. Manage and maintain the 3D CAD system and provide occasional training to team members. Contribute to new product introduction (NPI) projects and product approvals (e.g., CE/UKCA). Conduct practical testing, analysis, and documentation. Liaise with suppliers to ensure optimal part specification, pricing, and delivery.

About You



Degree or HND in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience. At least 3 years of experience in development engineering, ideally within ATM, self-service, photocopier, or similar precision equipment environments. Strong background in mechanical design, with familiarity in electrical, electronic, and software elements. Proficient in SolidWorks or similar CAD software. Experience with production and field failure analysis, and design improvements. Practical, hands-on approach with the ability to build and test prototypes (70% CAD / 30% practical). Knowledge of manufacturing methods for low and medium volumes. Experience in product approvals and compliance requirements.
