The Role:
We're looking for a CAD Engineer to join our Special Projects team at Caice, ideally with working knowledge of 3D modelling software. Our Special Projects Team specialise in the realisation of bespoke acoustic louvres, acoustic panels & weather louvres screens and enclosures across the construction industry - ranging from data-centres, to hospitals and universities as well as infrastructure such as the London underground and airports.
What you'll be doing:
Generating 3D models of a design within its intended installation environment, conveying this arrangement through architectural type drawings to all project stakeholders (external).
Reviewing client drawings, which are varied in measurement accuracy, to build 3D models.
Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulations while maintaining accuracy in measurements and specifications.
Modify existing designs based on feedback from team members or changes in project scope.
Collaborating with our Project Engineers, Contract Managers and liaising with stakeholders.
Be responsible for drawing accuracy from initial conception through to installation drawings, working closely with the Project Manager.
Utilising the 3D model to generate all manufacturing drawings & details.

About You - What you will bring to us:
An appropriate degree, HNC/HND or equivalent industry experience.
Some experience and understanding of designing for folded sheet metal fabrication and welded assembly.
Proficiency using Autodesk Inventor, or similar 3D CAD software, like SolidWorks.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, or a similar 2D CAD package, like MicroStation.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office products (especially Excel).
Thoroughness, accuracy, consistency and attention to detail.
Self-motivation and able to work as part of a busy team.
