New Build Residential Systems Designer (Revit/ AutoCAD)

Position available: 1 x Fixed Term Contract - up to 6 months

Location:

Crawley, RH10 9YX (must be based within reasonable commuting distance as 100% onsite role)

Hours of work:

Monday to Friday 8.45am - 4.55pm, Fridays 8.45pm - 4.25pm

Package:

Negotiable depending on experience, pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, Employee Assistant Programme, Boost Works online discount platform.

Job Profile:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced

New Build Residential (NBR) System Designers

to be based at our office in

Crawley (RH10 9YX). This is a fixed term contract- up to 6 months.

You will translate initial customer enquiries into full installation designs within defined timelines, this will include:

Detailed building layout drawings

Commission sheets

Parts listing

Detailed quotations

You will need to have a good working knowledge of using

Revit and/or AutoCAD

, have an interest in designing ventilation systems, have the ability and willingness to learn and grow, great organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines and meet targets.

You'll be a confident communicator working across teams, departments and clients on a daily basis.

As a

New Build Residential Systems Designer

, your key responsibilities will include:

Design ventilation systems to suit all building applications using the

REVIT/AutoCAD

software - ensuring full conformance with the relevant Building Regulations/ environmental and other relative legislative requirements.

Translate designs into fully detailed & itemised quotation,

including full parts listing, technical data sheets, installation layout drawings & itemised quotation letter. All information provided to detail clearly all inclusions/exclusions in accordance with the supplied tender documents received from the client and the Design Request Sheet from the Sales Representative. Provide a follow up service to clients regarding general

technical enquiries

, or information specifically relating to the supplied quote. This will include supporting the installations contractors on-site to negate issues raised during the installation work.

Prioritise and schedule design workloads

dependent upon response time specified by the client, Sales Executives/Managers, or internal resource limitations, ensuring that potential orders are not compromised. Ensure that all activities are progressed with high degrees of professionalism and quality expected within the Building Industry and maintaining the Vent-Axia brand.

To be successful in this role you will have:

Appropriate qualifications / detailed hands-on knowledge in the use of AutoCAD systems and design.

Use of Revit

Proficient in using

Microsoft Excel and Word.

Ability and willingness to learn. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team. Experience/ interest in

ventilation systems

would be an advantage. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. Highly organised, with ability to plan and meet deadlines and targets.
