Stannah have an exciting opportunity for a CAD Technician to join the Rail Design Department based in Andover.
We're looking for an experienced, proactive and enthusiastic CAD designer to join our team, where you'll be required to support the manufacturing process through the creation of bespoke stairlift solutions from survey data provided by sales consultants and distributors.
The successful candidate must be able to produce high-quality production drawings whilst adhering to tight time constraints.
Previous experience working in a CAD design environment is desirable but not essential.
This is a full-time, permanent position that offers the ability to work from home after an initial training period, although attendance within the office will be required on an adhoc basis.
The working hours are 13:15 to 23:00 Monday to Thursday. This is 37 hours per week and includes a 15% shift allowance.
CAD Technician Key Responsibilities:
Ability to interpret survey data to accurately model 3D staircases
Produce high-quality stairlift solutions and production drawings that comply with safety and environmental regulations.
Interpret customer requirements and resolve all queries to ensure a timely and satisfactory outcome.
Champion rail design and support the development of the team by sharing knowledge and skills.
CAD Technician Requirements:
Experience of 3D CAD systems, preferably SolidWorks.
Ability to plan, prioritise and organise workloads in accordance with business requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills is essential.
Ability to remain calm and consistent under pressure.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
