Overview

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer-aided design and will be proficient in various CAD software applications. As a CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in the development of detailed designs and schematics, contributing to projects across multiple disciplines. Your expertise will help ensure that our designs meet both aesthetic and functional requirements.

Responsibilities

Create detailed 2D plans using software such as AutoCAD. Develop survey drawings and layouts for various projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to specifications. Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand project requirements and provide design solutions. Assist in the preparation of technical documentation, including drawings and specifications. Review designs for compliance with industry standards and regulations. Maintain organised records of all design files and revisions.

Requirements

Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, Civil 3D, Sketchup, and MicroStation. Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices related to design. Ability to create accurate schematics and technical drawings. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential. A relevant qualification in engineering or design is preferred.
