CAD (Computer-Aided Design) Technician
, you will have a key responsibility in supporting the Estates Records Office (ERO) by maintaining and producing 2D CAD drawings and managing technical records across multiple workstreams. The successful candidate will ensure the timely completion of drawing updates, development control closures, and record validations in accordance with high standards of quality and accuracy.
Additional Responsibilities:
Interpreting mark-ups and performing 2D CAD drawing updates for layouts, schematics, and site plans.
Applying ERO standards for layers, naming conventions, and metadata.
Working within established workflows in the Common Data Environment (CDE).
Using the Asite system to track, submit, and review drawings and records.
Coordinating with CAD, Revit, and Digital Twin heads to support shared goals.

Qualifications

Essential Requirements:
A recognised AutoCAD (2D) qualification, including the capability to interpret and update drawings independently.
Attention to detail and the ability to adhere to drawing and naming standards.
Ability to work in an organised manner, demonstrate reliability, and use digital systems effectively.
Ability in both written and verbal communication.
An interest in developing skills to support ERO in meeting the evolving needs of the department.
Desirable Requirements:
Previous experience working in a office team supporting an estates management function.
Basic understanding of BIM (Building Information Modelling) concepts or Revit software
Familiarity with drawing review systems (e.g., Asite, Bluebeam) or metadata handling
