Porter is a growing high end manufacturing brand, specialising in interior products. Recent expansion and high demand has created an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced CAD Technician to join our team at our HQ in Co Fermanagh. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established, growing company in the high end residential sector.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced CAD technician, who will work closely with the director / design team on an exciting mix of product development and high end interior projects. Experience and an excellent knowledge of developing technical workshop production drawings and create detailed product specifications is required. The individual must be able to take initiative, manage their own workload and collaborate effectively within the team.

We require someone with passion who has an understanding and appreciation for good design and the Porter design ethos.

Role :

Working alongside the director/design team on the technical development of production and assembly specifications for existing and new product lines to the Porter catalogue. Working alongside the design team on bespoke client project documentation incl. detailed drawing sets for production, assembly and installation. Working alongside the workshop production teams on technical advice and assistance. Creation of all material cut lists and or component(s) for workshop production and assembly. Managing and maintaining CAD drawings and technical documentation. Input at site surveys may occasionally be required.

Candidate :

At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within the industry. Proficient in professional CAD package for production. Eg. CAD, Solid-works, Pytha 3D etc Have excellent spatial awareness in order to put forward well balanced technical solutions to projects / products with impeccable attention to detail. Have an excellent understanding of material's and manufacturing techniques. Ability to easily understand and interpret information from architect/designers drawings and specifications. Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the business. A resourceful, optimistic nature with great care and attention who enjoys a challenge, open to all aspects of projects with a hands-on attitude.
