As we continue to grow our portfolio of high voltage projects, we are seeking to expand our in-house CAD team by bringing on board a

CAD Technician

based at our

Glasgow Office




As part of the CAD team, you will be responsible for supporting the success of the business by providing best in class detailed CAD design drawings in line with Powersystems' strategy. This role will play a key part in ensuring our projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality. You will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to drive progress and deliver successful outcomes.

Duties and responsibilities of the role include:



Providing best in class detailed CAD design drawings, offering high quality service to our internal and external customers Gathering relevant information to enable the production of accurate drawings Ensuring the latest drawing standards and procedures are being applied Working to and maintaining our externally audited QA systems Performing all duties with an emphasis on health, safety, quality and environmental compliance and continuous improvement Proactively look at ways to enhance the service offered by the business and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of company processes. Uphold a professional image, contribute to Powersystems' success, and proactively improve services and efficiency. Heres what you need to be successful in the role:



Proficient user of AutoCAD 2022 (2D) with proven experience of engineering drawing production Great customer service skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of people The ability to multitask and prioritise accordingly with sometimes a large workload Good IT skills, with knowledge of MS packages, databases and file sharing sites A team player who is self-motivated, with a confident and enthusiastic attitude Strong organisational, time management, IT (MS Office), and report writing skills, with excellent spoken and written English. Ability to clearly communicate technical and commercial information, negotiate effectively, and contribute to a dynamic team. Adaptable, resilient, proactive, willing to travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays, and holds a full UK driving licence.
