Job Description

This is a permanent opportunity for a CAD Technician to join an award-winning family-owned business with comprehensive in-house training and development within a modern purpose-built factory which is second to none, working days Monday to Friday.

Over the past few years, they have seen substantial growth in the business, employing over 100 people at its processing site. They create bespoke products to exact client requirements nationally in their 70,000 square foot processing facility, and due to continued growth, have invested heavily in state-of-the-art machinery.

The successful candidate would be expected to prepare drawings for use throughout production of the products from receiving customer orders to completion of the manufacturing process.

Duties of the CAD Technician:

• Work closely with our sales team and customers to make sure products requested can be manufactured within industry standards and to our manufacturing capability.
• Understand the manufacturing process.
• Measure templates and process these into drawings for manufacturing.
• Ensure all technical details are translated
• Specify technical elements including specific manufacturing instructions.
• Be involved in project management from time to time.

Skills and Qualifications of the CAD Technician:

• Sound knowledge of CAD software, preferably AutoCAD
• CAD experience & relevant qualifications
• Problem solving capabilities
• Excellent communication at all levels
