Job Summary

To assist the drawing office with technical drawings for the assembly of Holiday Homes.

We are looking for an experienced CAD Technician / Designer to join Europa Caravans Ltd. In this key role, you will be responsible for producing detailed 2D drawings for our range of holiday homes, supporting projects from design through to completion. You'll collaborate closely with the technical manager and caravan operatives to ensure all designs meet technical specifications, industry standards, and project requirements.

Duties

As a CAD technician/draughtsperson, you'll need to:

Create high-quality detailed technical drawings and plans based on designs supplied by the company and report any errors. Be responsible for their time and workload as they will essentially be working to always keep ahead of production. Read specifications and ensure these have been completed. Share technical knowledge about the product with relevant departments. Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following the standards and procedures set out by the company whilst complying with legal regulations. Any other tasks which can reasonably be performed as requested by your manager. To ensure you work within and always comply with all Europa Caravans policies and procedures. To undertake all reasonable training, learning and development activity designed to support you within your role. To be professional, responsible for your own behaviour and act in a manner that avoids and discourages any form of discrimination or harassment. Use a variety of CAD software programmes to create designs in 2D. Provide accurate, detailed, and to scale drawings Ensure drawings are compliant with industry and health and safety standards and protocols. Present working drawings for use in all stages of the project, from manufacture/construction through to installation. Produce installation and manufacturing documentation Maintain accurate records

Experience

Previous experience in a similar role or relevant field is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates willing to learn. Strong attention to detail with an ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. A background in engineering or architecture is advantageous but not required for candidates demonstrating strong technical aptitude.
