As a CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality technical drawings and schematics that support our retail and design projects.
Responsibilities
Create and modify detailed technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD.
Visit potential sites to conduct measured site surveys in order to create existing drawings.
Collaborate with the team to understand project requirements and specifications.
Ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards in all drawings produced.
Conduct quality checks on designs to identify any discrepancies or errors.
Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications and reports.
Maintain an organised library of CAD files and project documentation for easy access by team members.
Stay updated on the latest CAD technologies and best practices to enhance productivity.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
Strong understanding of design principles and processes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in all work produced.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members across various disciplines.
Previous experience as a CAD Technician or in a similar role is required.
Experience in construction or manufacturing industries preferable.
