Overview:


A rapidly growing architectural and structural glazing company in South West London which specialises in residential and commercial projects, is seeking a motivated, adaptable CAD Technician and Office Administrator with a can do attitude and the drive to succeed, to draft and design high quality 2D and 3D architectural glazing drawings / plans based on design requirements as well as co-ordinating materials for structural glazing projects and carrying out office administration.

This role would suit either an experienced AutoCAD technician or someone with experience in either the construction / facilities management or glazing sector who has the ability to learn quickly. You will be an excellent communicator (verbal / written / listening) in order to liaise with customers and suppliers both over the phone and face to face. You will be a highly organised and an effective team with player who is happy to be flexible in your administration duties.

Key Responsibilities


This is an exciting, varied and challenging role and typical duties include:

CAD



Creating high quality 2D and 3D architectural glazing drawings / plans in AutoCAD from sketches, specifications and making modifications to existing drawings Ensuring drawings comply with project guidelines and industry standards Collaborating with directors, architects, other professionals and clients to understand their design requirements and presenting working drawings Organising and maintaining CAD files and project documentation to ensure accurate records are retained Project Co-ordination / Customer / Supplier Liaison Processing customer orders Scheduling jobs and liaising with customers and suppliers

Office Administration



General office administration, taking phone calls and following up - taking action as and when required Updating website text and graphics Social media administration and uploading of materials and messaging

Skills - Essential:



Ideally at least 2 years CAD Sound administration experience Knowledge of construction industry / glazing beneficial or the ability to learn quickly Strong IT skills, AutoCAD / Microsoft Word / Excel / Outlook Excellent communication (verbal / written / listening) skills A highly organised and effective team player who can manage processes and has a sound commercial acumen

Skills - Preferable (But Not Essential):



Project co-ordination experience Revit skills Solid understanding of design principles Knowledge of construction industry / glazing / industry standards and regulations - or the ability and interest to learn

Location, Commitments & Salary



Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm Office-based London (Pimlico / SW1V) with occasional travel required 30.000 - 35,000 per annum (depending upon experience) Working hours - Monday to Friday - 40 hours per week
