Join our dynamic Operations team as an experienced CAD Technician specialising in high-end audio visual systems.



This role demands someone who is adept at creating intricate technical drawings for corporate client offices, including wiring schematics, rack layouts, floor plans, RCPs and elevations. Your expertise will guide the integration of cutting-edge AV solutions, setting the standard for excellence in our industry.

Main Duties

Collaborate with Aura's Project managers, Technical Designers, and industry experts to deliver advanced AV technical solution drawings across various sectors.


Produce detailed audio-visual M&E drawings, system schematics, and bespoke designs for metal and woodwork, ensuring all aspects meet the highest standards of precision and quality.


Leverage your extensive experience to manage workloads under pressure to meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.

Requirements

Essential:

Proven expertise in AutoCAD LT, with the ability to produce complex 2D drawings and detailed design work.


A solid engineering background, with a preference for candidates possessing significant experience in the audio visual industry. Mechanical engineering backgrounds will also be considered.


Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and independently.


A strong work ethic, self-motivation, and a conscientious approach, coupled with meticulous attention to detail


Outstanding time management skills, with proven ability to prioritise workloads, meet SLAs and ensure project deadlines are achieved.


Strong analytical skills with strong problem-solving abilities, with a knack for identifying and resolving technical issues


Highly adaptable, comfortable with fast paced project environment and stays informed on the latest AV and digital signage technologies.


A true team player, dedicated to fostering positive team dynamics and collaboration.


Proactive, especially in leading technical project components.

Desirable:

An associate degree or certification in CAD, engineering or related technical field.


Desirable qualifications include certifications specific to CAD software or AV technology solutions (e.g., AutoCAD certification, CTS)


Experience in AV installations or design


A strong ability to adapt to new software and technology
