We are looking for an experienced CAD Technician to work in our design office working on commercial ventilation systems. A knowledge of ventilation systems is not required, but would be of benefit.
The successful candidate needs to be competent with AutoCad and Solidworks (or have transferable competency in a similar CAD package).
You will be responsible for working multiple projects simultaneously and making sure that all drawings are updated to latest changes and issued to all relevant stakeholders. Attention to detail is critical as any discrepancy can have a major knock-on effect to other projects.
Because of the fast-paced nature of the work. The successful candidate will already have experience working with AutoCad and be able to hit the ground running.
An understanding of sheet metal fabrication and site construction would be desired.
Job holder responsibilities:
Producing working drawings on AutoCAD
Considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints
Knowledge of ventilation/ commercial kitchen design
Visiting sites and surveying
Ensuring drawings comply with the project specifications, customer requirements and current regulations
Communicating with excellent customer service
Liaising with workshop and manufacturing to ensure accurate production
Meeting deadlines / client expectations
Carry out such duties as may be reasonably required from time to time by the Senior Management Team
About you:
You must have CAD Experience
Driving License
Good communication & interpersonal skills (written & verbal) with the ability to act in a professional manner, with absolute discretion
Can demonstrate a customer focused, proactive 'can do' attitude, flexible approach to working and can work as part of a team
Knowledge of heating and ventilation and air conditioning within a reactive and planned maintenance environment or similar is desirable
Whilst the role is advertised as a full time role, we would consider applications on a part time basis - be that reduced hours every day to suit school schedule or set days per week. Any part time offer would be on a per annum pay rate. Level of pay will be awarded based on level of experience.
The role is based out of our office/workshop in Redruth, Cornwall and standard office hours are 8am - 5pm Mon-Thurs & 8am - 4pm on Friday.
