Overview of the Role

Temla is a dynamic, growing company specializing in laser cutting, CNC folding, and fabrication services within the engineering sector.

We are currently seeking a

CAD Technician and Sales Support

to join our team at Temla Laser. This role is integral in supporting our Sales team by delivering high-quality CAD work, assisting with quotations, and preparing technical files for manufacture. You'll play a key part in translating client requirements into precise drawings and supporting the smooth transition from enquiry to production.

Roles and responsibilities:

Support the Sales team in preparing quotations and processing customer enquiries Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for fabrication and laser cutting Convert customer files into manufacturable formats and prepare CAD files for production Assist in project costing by extracting relevant information from drawings and specifications Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure feasibility and clarity of designs Create technical documentation and drawing packs to support quoting and production workflows Liaise with customers and colleagues to clarify requirements or resolve design-related queries Help ensure smooth communication and handover between Sales and Production Support general sales activities and provide technical input to improve service delivery Continuously improve drawing standards, templates, and internal CAD systems

Person Specification:

Experience in sheet metal design and manufacturing is essential Proficiency in CAD software -- ideally Fusion 360 and/or AutoCAD Strong attention to detail and an ability to interpret engineering drawings A collaborative mindset with strong communication skills Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively Experience preparing files for laser cutting or CNC folding is highly desirable Commercial awareness and understanding of quoting processes are beneficial Comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical team members

Pay Scale:

Salary: 28,000-30,000 per annum, depending on experience + Company performance bonus

Working Hours

Monday-Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30pm

Friday: 08:00 - 15:30pm

Lunch breaks are 30 minutes (unpaid)

39-hour working week with overtime expected during busier periods to support the workload equating to roughly 45 hours per week.

The company has seen extensive growth during the last 5 years and we are determined to carry this forward which will open opportunity for the purchase of additional machinery and further staff progression. The opportunity and rate of progression is strictly in accordance with overall company performance including hitting revenue targets/ efficient production and quality control.

In line with the expansion of the business and investment into a second laser the CAD Technician and Sales Support would have the potential to progress to Senior Account Manager.
