We are currently looking for a CAD Technician to join our Studio team. The pre-press studio is a pivotal department that links artworks through to production, ensuring that work is produced in an accurate and timely manner.
The Studio department sets the tone and speed of how we produce work with regards to efficiency, speed, and accuracy. It is a fast-paced environment so strong organisational skills are required.
The main duties for this role are:
Use CAD software to design and produce carton samples on the correct substrates, often working to tight deadlines
Liaison with colleagues, customers and other departments to ensure production requirements are met
Produce multi carton layouts with value engineering in mind
Layout and produce blankets for the presses.
Release cutter guides for customers to apply graphics to required standards.
Work closely with the pre-press manager to plan jobs going into production.
Ensure origination is ordered and received prior to production. Tooling, plates, screens, etc.
Produce job bags
Inputting accurate information into a Management Information System
Experience Required:
Knowledge of CAD systems to design and create structural packaging designs to achieve customer and Manufacturing expectations.
Knowledge of CAD software such as 'Artios , Kasemake or Impact' would be advantageous.
This role will follow a Early/Late shift pattern. Early shift 06:00-13:30 / Late shift 13:30-21:00
