Adaptive Surveys, based in Aberdeen, specialises in producing high accuracy measured surveys across various industries in the built environment. Role / Responsibilities:
This is a full-time role for a CAD Technician at Adaptive Surveys based at our Aberdeen or Glasgow Office. The CAD Technician will be responsible for preparing technical drawings and plans using CAD software, based on survey data and project requirements:
Assist with land surveys and develop UAV, photogrammetry and LiDAR skills.
Produce high quality CAD outputs from point cloud and topographic data, following company procedures and industry guidelines.
Collaborate with the Surveyors to deliver surveys that meet client expectations and adhere to technical specs.
Manage your workload to meet deadlines while ensuring compliance with our Quality Assurance policies.
Reading and Interpreting Plans - Understanding and working from engineering plans, specifications, and survey data.
Data Input and Management - Importing and managing survey data within CAD systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
Quality control - Checking drawings for errors, inconsistencies, and adherence to standards, and making necessary corrections.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Eager to train and grow in geomatics and land surveying
Located in Aberdeen or Glasgow with a civil, structural, or geotechnical background
Ability to work both independently and effectively as part of a team
Ability to create and interpret technical drawings and construction plans
Proficiency in AutoCAD (both 2D and 3D) is essential
Experience in 3D Revit modelling from laser scans/point cloud data is desirable
Knowledge of construction practices and engineering design principles
Strong understanding of surveying processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
