Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Superstar to join our team here at Dundee Cycle Hub.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe, provide excellent customer service to our lovely customers, make beautiful coffees and assist with food preparation and maintaining a clean and safe environment for everyone.
This position requires a reliable. proactive individual who is passionate about food and coffee and enjoys working in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

Assist in the general preparation of food items. Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Serve customers promptly and courteously, providing knowledgeable information about menu items and daily specials. Handle cash transactions accurately, applying basic maths skills for processing payments. Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that all equipment and utensils are clean and ready for use. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods. Make beautiful Barista coffees.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is desirable but not essential. Barista skills would be advantageous also. Strong time management skills and a good dose of common sense. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders. A chatty, friendly manner with excellent communication skills, capable of providing help to customers and colleagues alike. Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
