We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. This position involves engaging with customers, preparing food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately. Prepare and serve a variety of food items and beverages, including coffee, tea, and pastries. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and maintain cleanliness in food preparation areas. Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and presentation standards. Handle cash transactions efficiently, utilising basic math skills for accurate change. Maintain stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. Keep the cafe area tidy and organised, including cleaning tables, equipment, and utensils. Manage time effectively to ensure prompt service during busy periods.

Skills

Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to ensure a safe dining experience for customers. Previous barista experience is highly desirable for crafting high-quality beverages. Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction and engagement. Experience in food preparation with an understanding of hygiene standards. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately. Excellent time management abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
