Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverage items, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Operate coffee machines and other equipment, demonstrating barista skills to create quality beverages. Assist in food preparation, including cutting, assembling, and presenting dishes in an appealing manner. Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders accurately and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment. Handle cash transactions with basic math skills to ensure accurate billing. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred, particularly in barista roles. Knowledge of food safety practices is essential to maintain hygiene standards. Strong serving skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Basic math skills for handling payments and providing change accurately. Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. A friendly and approachable demeanour with a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences.
