We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our cafe runs smoothly and efficiently, providing exceptional service to our customers. This position involves a variety of tasks, from food preparation to maintaining cleanliness, all while adhering to food safety standards.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of food and beverages according to established recipes and standards. Maintain high levels of cleanliness and organisation in the cafe area, including dining and kitchen spaces. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Help customers with their orders, providing friendly and efficient service. Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours. Perform basic maths for cash handling and till operations. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Previous barista experience in a cafe or food service environment is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Basic maths skills for accurate cash handling and order processing. A passion for food preparation and customer service. Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 9.00-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 32 per week
