We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages, including hot drinks, snacks, and light meals Ensure all food safety standards are adhered to at all times Operate coffee machines as a barista, delivering high-quality drinks efficiently Serve customers at the counter or table in a courteous manner Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment throughout shifts Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system Assist with food preparation tasks where necessary, following health and safety guidelines Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service

Skills

Knowledge of food safety procedures and hygiene standards Previous barista experience is desirable but not essential; training will be provided Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing stock levels Food preparation skills to assist with light cooking or assembling dishes Excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks efficiently Friendly demeanour with strong communication skills Organised approach to work with attention to detail
