As a Cafe & Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers have an enjoyable experience, from food preparation to serving and catering. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of food safety will be essential.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with established recipes and standards. Assist with catering events, ensuring that all food items are presented attractively and served promptly. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and responding to their needs efficiently. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain high hygiene standards at all times. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages as necessary.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cafe or restaurant setting is preferred, with a strong understanding of hospitality principles. Skills in food preparation and serving are essential; barista experience is desirable. Knowledge of food safety practices is crucial for maintaining health standards within the cafe environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team are required. A positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn are key attributes for success in this role. Pay: 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
