We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and hospitality, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills to manage a diverse team. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure high standards of food safety, quality, and customer service are consistently met.

Responsibilities

Supervise and manage cafe staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and safety standards are maintained Train and mentor team members in culinary techniques, serving practices, and customer service excellence Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols Develop menus that reflect seasonal offerings and customer preferences Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe, including kitchen areas Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and courtesy Collaborate with upper management to implement strategies for improving cafe performance

Experience

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a cafe or restaurant setting Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food production techniques Background in hospitality with an emphasis on customer service excellence Previous experience as a barista is advantageous but not essential Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen environments
