Home Group are looking for a partner to run their cafe at Webb Ellis Court in Scarborough, YO12. A community wellbeing service with an extra care facility of over 60 apartments for people age 55 and over. If you are an experienced caterer looking for a new opportunity to deliver quality and nutritious meals to our residents and the wider community, please get in touch! This is a leaseholder position.- Indoor & Outdoor cafe seating.- New, high specification commercial kitchen with hot food servery.- Resident customer based, but open to the public.- Rent FREE! Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the cafe venue, ensuring smooth functioning and adherence to quality standards.
Manage and supervise staff, fostering a positive team environment and encouraging professional development.
Implement effective food preparation and cooking techniques to maintain menu quality and consistency.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the highest quality ingredients are sourced.
Create menus that reflect current culinary trends while meeting customer preferences.
Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance guest satisfaction.
Handle administrative tasks including budgeting, inventory management, and scheduling.
Lead by example in providing outstanding hospitality service to all guests.
Qualifications
Proven experience in a leadership role within the restaurant or hospitality sector.
Strong culinary experience with a solid understanding of food preparation techniques.
Previous supervisory experience is essential, along with excellent team management skills.
Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen operations.
Experience as a barista or in hotel management is considered an asset.
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers alike.
