Duties

Supervise daily cafe operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of service. Manage food preparation and production processes, adhering to food safety regulations. Lead and train staff in culinary techniques, serving practices, and customer service excellence. Maintain inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as necessary while minimising waste. Create and implement seasonal menus that reflect current trends and customer preferences. Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and team management. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the cafe kitchen. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, striving for complete satisfaction.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or cafe setting. Strong culinary skills with experience in food preparation and cooking. Background in hospitality with an emphasis on customer service excellence. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production. Previous experience as a barista is advantageous but not essential. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Previous kitchen or hotel experience is desirable.
