Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Manager to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a strong background in food service management. As the Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of food safety, and leading a team of staff to deliver an outstanding cafe experience.

Duties

Supervise and manage cafe staff, fostering a positive team environment and encouraging professional development. Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and ordering supplies. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the cafe. Assist in food preparation and culinary tasks as needed, ensuring quality and presentation meet our standards. Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and efficiency, ensuring satisfaction. Implement marketing strategies to promote the cafe and attract new customers. Monitor financial performance, including sales targets and budgeting, to ensure profitability. Train new staff on cafe policies, procedures, and best practices in hospitality.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the food service or hospitality industry. Strong skills in team management, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse group of individuals. Experience in bartending is advantageous but not essential. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices is preferred. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices is essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer-focused approach. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required by the business needs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 24 months

Pay: 12.80-14.80 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 45 per week
