The Birks Cinema is an ambitious outward-looking community enterprise in the heart of Aberfeldy in rural Perthshire. A world class independent cinema programme will always be at the heart of what the building offers to its community and visitors.

We have other regular cultural and community events ranging from Lego Club to Book Club, Chess Night to Quiz Night. In addition, due to our warm welcoming and inclusive environment we host an array of community groups, drawn from our local area, who deliver activities and hold meetings. Central to this is our cafe where our community gathers to catch up on all things local as well as to enjoy our cinema, cultural and community activities.

Our cafe offers cinema snacks, refreshments, breakfast, lunch and evening meals. We also have a first floor Creative Community Learning Space which is available for private hire with the cafe providing catering as required.

As Cafe Supervisor you are our brand ambassador. You will play a vital role in the day-to-day front facing and operational services, serving customers food and beverages from the cafe, selling tickets for films and events and occasionally ushering our cinema and special events audiences.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in managing people in a coffee shop or a similar environment. Therefore, the main criteria is that the successful applicant must be enthusiastic and committed to providing excellent customer service. We also welcome people who are passionate about food and films and willing to contribute ideas. This role would suit a person with a flexible approach, including daytime, evening, and weekend work as required, and a cheerful 'can-do' attitude.

Pay: Up to 24,128.00 per year
