Job Description

This position would formally start late-January, although there is potential to pick up some shifts before then. We're looking for someone to do 3 or 4 shifts per week

Bay. We're looking for an experienced and motivated supervisor to help lead our amazing team.

About Us

Since opening in 2015 we've forged a strong reputation as a go-to brunch spot on the coast. From a banging full-English, to colourful & creative vegan offerings our food has seen us pick up rave reviews and repeat customers.

We source ingredients locally when possible, from some fantastic suppliers. We use the best coffee beans, roasted a few miles down the road

Open 8am-5pm Monday-Sunday

About You:

Knowledgeable about the local restaurant scene, with a keen interest in food & drink trends Ability to deliver outstanding customer service and inspire those around you to do the same Barista experience: preferred. Passion for delivering great coffee: essential Infectiously positive attitude, and sense of humour Previous success in managing employees Eye for detail, high expectations of yourself and others Flexible, organized and a great communicator Self-motivated, relish a challenge, with a knack for solving problems Excellent communication skills, and comfortable with use of computers and social media

The Job:

Work with Cafe Manager and other Supervisors to lead the Front of House team Help with the evolution of The Boatyard cafe, suggesting ways to improve service, style and menu Lead from the front. Motivate, coach, and develop your team It's a dynamic, hands-on role, so be prepared to be smashing out flat whites while charming customers and conducting staff Liaise with chefs to ensure smooth service from the kitchen and report back customer experience Lead shifts in the Manager's absence, troubleshoot issues that arise Assist with ordering & paperwork

Details:

Tips additional We're dog friendly, so you must be comfortable around dogs 20-30 hours per week over 3-4 days (we can discuss specifics during hiring process) Daytime shifts, including some weekend work. Occasional evenings (but not many) Free meal & coffees on shift Staff discount & parties Closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Years Day
This is a wonderful opportunity for somebody with hospitality experience and is looking to further their career. Some managerial/supervisory experience is preferred, but for the right individual it may be a good chance to step up. We offer a positive work/life balance and creative freedom
