We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cafe Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in hospitality, ensuring that our cafe provides an exceptional experience for all customers. This role involves managing staff, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring high-quality food production and service.
Duties
Supervise and manage cafe staff, fostering a positive team environment
Oversee food preparation to ensure quality and safety standards are met
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen and dining areas
Manage inventory, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels
Train new employees in food safety, hospitality, and cafe procedures
Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues to ensure satisfaction
Implement effective marketing strategies to promote the cafe's offerings
Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards
Collaborate with the team to develop new menu items that reflect current trends
Requirements
Proven experience in a supervisory role within a cafe or restaurant setting
Background in hospitality with excellent customer service skills
Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
Experience in team management, demonstrating strong leadership abilities
Familiarity with barista techniques is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
A passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere for customers
