We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Cafe Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring that our team delivers exceptional service while maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role requires effective team management and the ability to create a welcoming environment for both staff and customers.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement training programmes for new employees in areas such as food preparation, bartending, and customer service. Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to minimise waste. Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours while managing labour costs effectively. Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff members. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner to enhance guest satisfaction. Monitor cafe operations to ensure adherence to health and safety standards.

Skills

Proven experience in team management within the hospitality or food service industry. Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead by example. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Exceptional leadership qualities with a focus on motivating and developing staff. Experience in bartending is an advantage but not essential. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
