We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cafe Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a background in hospitality, ensuring that our cafe runs smoothly while providing an exceptional experience for our customers. This role requires a hands-on approach, with responsibilities including team management, food preparation, and maintaining high standards of food safety. Barista experience an advantage.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of cafe staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to quality standards. Manage food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest culinary standards. Implement and maintain food safety protocols in accordance with health regulations. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Train new staff on cafe procedures, customer service expectations, and food safety practices. Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring satisfaction at all times. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock without over-ordering.

Experience

Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality or food service industry is essential. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods is highly desirable. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
