CAFE SUPERVISOR

We are looking for an enthusiastic supervisor to run the day-to-day operations of our popular cafe restaurant.

We'd love to hear from those experienced in hospitality, CAFE BAR, Restaurant and cafe supervisor and manager roles.

Especially if you are looking to grow your leadership skills and are keen to develop new offerings from TOAST.

We are a vibrant, independent cafe, offering exceptional coffee and breakfast, brunch and lunch. Although a casual diner we deliver fast-paced at high volume, to high professional standards.

We have a great kitchen team in place, so your focus would be on helping to lead our front of house staff and operations. However, the ideal candidate would be comfortable in the kitchen as our lunch offer is prepared by the front of house staff.

We presently open 9-5pm everyday but are looking to extend our opening times until 9pm. We will be serving awesome Burgers, Hot Dogs, Loaded Fries and Nachos along with an extended drinks menu with good quality but basic beers, wines, spirits and cocktails. Additionally we will have lots of rotating food pop ups happening in the evenings in the future,

The role requires:

Strong Barista Skills

- We serve outstanding coffee - Latte Art and a passion for good coffee is an absolute MUST

Front of house waiting on / restaurant experience

- We are a food lead business and offer great customer service in a casual environment

Bar experience / Alcohol Sales / Basic Cocktails

- Experience in the sales of alcohol is advantagous to the role as we operate in a challenging and heavily student populated area. We are looking to extend or opening times and will close at 9pm daily and are licensed to sell alcohol as a restaurant with a table meal

Key holder responsibilities / Opening and Closing of the cafe

Cash handling, Till and Cashing up responsibilities

Food handling and food preparation -

Ideally some back ground in the kitchen and to be able to cross train in the kitchen to cover as and when needed

Food Hygiene

- Experience in food hygiene and being able to maintain our 5 star standards

Staff Training

- To really get behind our staff and get them trained up in all areas of the business to help us drive our standards forward

Strong customer service skills

- This is an absolute MUST. We love our customers and they love us. You need to be all action but at the same time pleasant, friendly and efficient with our customers to keep them coming back.

Experience of takeaway service delivery platforms

- Deliveroo etc. We are high volume with online delivery orders and we need to efficient, highly prepared and ultra-organised to cope with the demands.

Reliability

- A good work ethic and attendance is an absolute MUST

Energy, dedication and a good sense of humour

- We need positive, energetic, motivated and vibrant staff here to keep us pushing forward and help pull us through the busy times (of which there are plenty)

5 DAYS OVER 7

(2 days off in a row, Monday and Tuesday

STARTING PAY 12.50 PER HOUR

35 - 45 HOURS PER WEEK INCLUSIVE OF WEEKENDS

SHIFTS BETWEEN 08.00 - 18.00

28 DAYS HOLIDAY PER YEAR

FREE MEALS ON DUTY
