Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in food preparation and service. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring the smooth operation of the cafe. Your responsibilities will include assisting with food and beverage preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food items in accordance with food safety standards. Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing customer inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces, kitchen, and equipment. Support bartending duties as needed, ensuring all beverages are prepared to high standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation during busy periods. Assist with catering events as required, helping to set up and serve food items. Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food safety practices.

Requirements

Previous experience in a cafe or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays. A willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and bartending is an advantage.
