Job Description

We are looking for a confident and outgoing Cafe Assistant to take the lead on front-of-house operations in our vibrant, high-quality cafe. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a customer-facing environment, is passionate about delivering memorable service, and can confidently engage with a wide range of people in a warm, polite and respectful manner.

What we're really looking for: You must be naturally chatty, approachable, and confident, with a genuine passion for speaking to people. We want someone who enjoys making customers feel welcome and valued--every conversation should feel like a five-star experience.

You'll also need to be reliable, organised and proactive in maintaining daily operations. A background in hospitality is preferred, and prior experience in a similar front-of-house role is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Greeting and serving customers with enthusiasm, warmth and professionalism.

Creating a positive atmosphere and building rapport with regular and new customers.

Maintaining equipment and reporting any faults to keep the cafe running smoothly.

Reviewing menus, supporting stock checks and ensuring availability of key items.

Assisting with financial tasks such as till handling and following budgetary guidelines.

Monitoring food production and upholding portion standards and quality.

Supporting the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness and safety.
