Shielings Cafe, located in the National Museum of Rural Life is a 5-star Visit Scotland graded tourist attraction located in East Kilbride, open 7 days a week from 9am to 5pm. We're known for our homemade scones, cakes, fresh salads, sandwiches, hot food, and Nespresso coffee -- all served with a smile!

We are currently looking for friendly, reliable, and hardworking Counter Assistant to join our close-knit team. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in providing excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.

Counter Assistant Duties:

Serve customers with a speedy, friendly and welcoming attitude Use coffee machine, steamer, ensure cakes are well presented Clear and clean tables promptly, run food from kitchen Restock fridges, display cabinets, and cake stands Maintain cleanliness of the cafe and complete daily cleaning tasks Assist with dishwashing and back of house duties in the kitchen when needed
