We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our cafe runs smoothly and efficiently. This position involves a variety of tasks, from food preparation to providing excellent customer service, all while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of food items, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. And occasional cooking duties. Serve customers with a friendly and professional attitude, taking orders and answering queries about the menu. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces and kitchen facilities. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient service during busy periods. Help maintain stock levels, including ordering supplies when necessary. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to hospitality and food safety. Flexibility in working hours to cover of holidays.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe environment is preferred but not essential. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is advantageous. Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. A team player who can work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Barista trained or knowledge of preferred but training will be provided. A passion for hospitality and providing exceptional service is essential.
