Job Description

We are looking for an experienced cafe assistant to join our team here at Melin Tregwynt, an opportunity to become part of some thing special. Main duties and responsibilities:

Working within the Mill cafe to meet customers' needs and create a positive experience for customers visiting Melin Tregwynt

General day to day operation of cafe Provide excellent customer service & create a warm & friendly atmosphere for customers Maintaining & restocking items as required, checking expiry dates on food items Pricing Prepare and serve hot drinks using espresso machine Maintain & monitor daily records Cash handling , including credit cards / till operations , daily reconciliation Effective handling of telephone enquiries for cafe Deal with bookings and booking system Promoting all aspects of Melin Tregwynt business Daily cleaning of cafe & public areas Regular scheduled cleaning of all catering equipment including coffee machine , all fridges , freezers & cooking equipment Maintain highest standards of cleanliness & hygiene & follow food hygiene regulations in Cafe Opening and closing premises to ensure maximum security procedures at all times. (you may also be required to act as key holder for certain shifts) Assist in other areas of the business as required Any other reasonable request made. Weekend working essential Full and part time hours available
