Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. The hours are for 7 am starts over several days and the occasional Saturday is to be worked . The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in food and beverage service. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained.

Duties

Assist in food preparation and presentation, ensuring all items are served fresh and appealing. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing customer inquiries. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe, including dining areas, kitchen spaces, and equipment. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our customers.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe environment is highly desirable. Knowledge of food preparation techniques and catering services is beneficial. Strong hospitality skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Understanding of food safety practices to maintain hygiene standards in the workplace. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team setting.
