Kitchen / Cafe & Bar Assistant

Minimum 20 hours per week

We're an award-winning team looking for a reliable and motivated individual to join us at The Gordon Arms. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role with a strong focus on customer service, food preparation, and bar work, where our customers expect consistently high standards.

As a Kitchen / Cafe & Bar Assistant, you'll enjoy a varied role that keeps every day interesting. Your responsibilities will include:

Greeting and seating customers, taking orders, and processing payments. Preparing and cooking food to order and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen. Serving customers in both the cafe and bar areas. Opening and closing the premises when required. Delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring guests feel welcome and valued. Working both weekdays and weekends on a rotational basis.
You'll work closely with others but also need to show initiative, self-motivation, and the confidence to work independently when needed.

We're seeking someone who is:

Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused. Reliable and a genuine team player with a can-do attitude. Organised and able to work in a busy environment. Experienced in hospitality (front of house, food prep, or bar work) - preferred but not essential, as full training will be given.
