We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic

Cafe & Catering Assistant

to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen interest in food preparation and service. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers enjoy a delightful experience while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of food items, ensuring adherence to food safety standards. Serve customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude, providing excellent hospitality. Support catering operations by assisting with prepping, delivering, event setups and service as required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including dining spaces and food preparation areas. Operate coffee machines and other equipment, demonstrating barista skills when necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth cafe operations during busy periods. Handle customer inquiries and feedback professionally to enhance their experience.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe/catering setting is preferred. Skills in catering, serving, and food preparation are highly desirable, training will be given. A strong understanding of food safety practices is essential. Barista experience is an advantage but not mandatory; training will be provided. Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach are required. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 25 per week
